PORT ISAAC
Port Isaac (Cornish: Porthysek, meaning Corn Port) is a beautiful fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. Since 2004, the labyrinthine village has served as the backdrop to the television series Doc Martin. It's also is home to a sea-shanty singing group Fisherman's Friends. There is an alley in Port Isaac, known as Temple Bar, that is particularly narrow. In the 1978 edition of Guinness Book of Records, it was dubbed the world's narrowest thoroughfare. Locals refer to it as Squeeze-ee-belly Alley.
