MOUSEHOLE

Mousehole (pronounced 'mowzle') is a village and fishing port 2.5 miles south of Penzance on the shore of Mount's Bay. Famous for its Christmas illuminations and, on 23rd December each year, the lantern parade of Tom Bawcock's Eve; a festival dedicated to a legendary local believed to have saved the villagers from starvation by fishing in a severe storm. It’s also the origin of the famous ‘Starry Gazy Pie’ a mixed fish, egg and potato pie with protruding fish heads. Please click on an image for more.
